About

Born in Lisbon, on May of 1974, photography was always a constant presence in the author’s life, albeit in an omnipresent way. The turning point in the author’s life, comes in 2002, when he concludes his degree in computer science and management and acquires his first SLR camera. From this point on, the author would then dedicate most of his free time to photography. Since then, Nuno has been investing in a continual learning process, both on technical and theorical levels, insisting that his best work is yet to be done. Passionate for his home country, he could not escape the irresistible pull that leads him in capturing the beauty of his surroundings. Through his camera, the photographer captures, with his unique vision, all the drama and poetic beauty that nature has to offer in its wildest state.
The acknowledgment of his work has been very rewarding and manifesting itself in the most diverse ways. The author has seen his work published in national and international magazines as well as participation in several photography exhibits, both individual and collective. Nuno is also usually invited to write articles in photography magazines and blogs, as well as invitations to integrate the jury of photography contests.
In 2007, together with fellow photographer Pedro Bento, Nuno created the FOTONATURE project. Its main goal is the development of photography workshops from north to south of Portugal. This project has revealed itself to be a success, since most of the workshops are high in demand and easily fill, bringing even more acknowledgment to the author.
